• Lane held the gun in her trembling hand, she knew just as well as George did that she didn't have what it took the fire.
"George! You can't continue playing God like this, it's WRONG!" she screamed backing up, her heels clicking against the tile flooring of the laboratory,
"Then why'd you choose to be part of it?" he pondered biting into his apple, "You must've known what you were getting into!" he said taking a step closer to her, "You'll see, Lane. I'm doing a good thing." Lane avoided his hand, which was currently reaching to caress her face,
"Stop! You b*****d! Killing isn't a good thing." she heard a cry from one of the next victims, a drunk and petty theif, "Once all of these people have been killed, once every villain in the world is dead, there will only be one left, George, what then?" he grabbed a lough of her hair and smiled,
"Then, Lane. I will rule." She put her finger on the trigger and aimed, "Really, Lane? Do you think you can REALLY kill me? Wouldn't that be bad?"
"Yes! But, it would save SO many lives, it's worth going to hell." he chuckled darkly,
"Well, Lane. Then, shoot!" she nodded and pulled the trigger just as soon as he disintegrated her with his invention, "It's ending like these that make me happy." he drawled chuckling again.

    Sad story, isn't it?
