• I was running on a dirt road, chasing a long, slim shadow of something up in the sky. All the colours around me were perfect, pure and clear. The endless fields of grass on my both sides whispered their hymns in a peaceful, humming tone. The large morning sun shone brightly right in front of me, casting it's rays everywhere around me. All around me was grass and dirt coloured golden by the light of dawn, yet it was oh-so-beautiful. Still, even amidst all this perfection, I could not get my mind off the shadow. I was running behind it and I started to catch up with it. As I came closer and closer, my heart pounded faster and faster. I was so close, it felt like I was able to touch it. Then I made up my mind. I jumped, trying to catch the shadow. As my hand swept across the surface of the road, touching the shadow's tail, I felt something grasp me and drag me away from the ground.

The next moment, I was sitting atop a long, white dragon.
It was soaring the sky and humming the same hymn the grass made in the wind. It's shiny, white scales were metallic, yet soft to sit on. The dragon had tufts of silvery hair on it's back and a mane of the same color. The dragon had no wings. It's body was long and firm, made for flying and moving fast. In the tip of it's tail, the dragon had a large, silver tuft of hair. It's eyes were bright red and full of kindness. It's horns were almost white, shaped straight and pointing back. The dragon had four feet, each of which had three claws in them. The dragon's underside was plated with a silvery material, which felt like silk but was hard as rock.
I held on to the dragon's horns while sitting behind it's neck. I looked straight ahead as we flew above the fields of green swimming in the golden light. I felt like there was no such thing as gravity. At wind speed, we were heading towards the sun. The dragon let loose a howl so deep, it stirred my insides. It was not a howl of pain or anger, it was a howl of enjoyment. Enjoyment of freedom.
As we came close to the sun I could feel naught but the wind as the flames struck through me and the dragon. After that, all that existed was light.

    Pure, white, light.
