Beneath a omonious clouded sky on a village that was once a model for the world its self now laid in a chared desolate place. A place like this was not immune to the fires of war. Once beautiful homes now burned to nothing. The bodies of people and soldiers lay still on the once luch grass. This was a common sight during the Angel Demon war, many villages fell as innocant victums during each side advance. At this village enterence stood two figures, one an angel and the other a demon. Both stood side by side looking at themost recent carnage. The demon looked like a meanecing human. It had ebony spikes petruding out of its arms, Dark foreboding wings and unatrualy black eyes. The angle was something of utter beauty. Perferct complection and shape, white armor, and dimond wings. In the angles right hand was a sword with a ruby red blade and elegant decoration on its skillfuly crafted blade. Its design was a mystery to both and it was given to the angel by his commander. As they stared into the village the demon spoke, "Hard to comprehend how you understand me." The angel rested its wings closly to its body and replied. "We both were humans once. Yours as just awaked once more." For this was the truth and the demon knew it for it was the same with angels as well. Still they watched each looking into the flames when there attention was directed twords the street. A woman had fumbled out into the street holding some thing in her arms. She looked back at the home she made it out of as it coolapesed in flames. She looked at the item for a long moment and with great pain staggered her wat out. "I am going to mend what we have done. Follow if you like." The deamon directed to the angel as the demon started making its way down the roadd. The angel moved at the same pace and said "This burden I share as well and wish to be redeamed."
On a hill a quarter of a mile away stood a woman. She was not anyone imparticluar. She was a stocky woman with soft bown eyes and thick black hair. Her arms cradeled a child that was wrapped up so carfully appearing as if she had all the time in the world to do the task. The child was clueless of the world, having clamed down from the fire. Burns covered sections of the infants face. The childs breathing was labored and weak. The woman knew that the childs life would be short if not taken care of. She looked down at the child and her hear beagn to fill with sorrow, anger, and greif. She did not wasn this childs life to be brought to an untimely end. While pondering her ddop and complex thoughts she failed to notice that some thing was approaching from behind. The woman finaly relaized some thing was amiss when whings surrounded her. She looked up to see and angel lookind down at her then behind and saw a demon. She covered the child's body with her own. A few seconds passed before she relized that she was still alive. Filled with fear beyond comprehnsion she looked up at the angel. The angel crouched retracting its wings. The angel offered the woman words in a attempt to comfort her. "We do not wish yo harm you. We have awakened from what blinds us." The woman retaliaed angerly screaming. "You have already done enough to people... my family." Her head fell down and began to sob. The infant in her arms began to wake up and began crying along with her mother. The demon made its way next to the angel and looked down at the crying child. Instaniously the demon knew what was wrong. "The child is faceing death." The demon statled calmly. The angel placed his katana on the grass and quietly asked the sobbing woman. "Do you wish for your child to live." Tears gradualy crawled down her face. "Why...Why should i trust you?" The angel was going to speak but his demonic partner did that for him. "We are humans just like you, but we were deluded. Our minds blinded by Justice and Sin. Out hearts can be opened reintroducing our humanity. At heart now we are no differnt from you." Nervously the woman looked up at the deamon. "Even a demon can become human again." The agnel said. Still holding the crying infant she turned to the angel and then looked down. "What will happen?" She asked with a quiver in her voice. "We will merge our souls with this child and will alter its body allowing the equilivant recovery that a physical human would need a doctor and a mage." The angel was going to add a important statement. It was something of importance be he feared this would turn her away. The woman thought nerviously for several moments. The she gently rested the child on the ground. " Do what you must do." The woman said. The demon nodded and wrapped its self with in its wings. A blinding light escapped from each space then an orb of red light slofly floated in to the child. The angel picked up its sword and extended it to the woman. "Give this to your child."
"Why?" "It will know what it is for when the time is right that is." Confused she took the weapon in both hands. The angel repeated the same process as the demon though it produced a white orb. The infants crying stopped and fell into a deep peaceful sleep. The woman scopped her child up and rocked it gently in her arms. Mustering her strength she tied the blade around her waist and began her trek to find a new home.
