• It was my first day at my new school, Angel High School. I just moved here from New York. My mom is a writer, she writes books of any genre and any body. But she mostly writes for woman who have been through Breast cancer. We moved to California for a better job. It was a long trip to California from New York, but we finally made it. My mom says that I will be spending most of my time with my father because she has to work long hours. My dad is an artist. He is awesome.

I was excited and nervous at the same time about being at a new school. I knew everybody would be tan, while I was pale white. Once I got out of my car, it felt like everyone was looking at me. I found my way to the front office where this young woman introduced herself.

"Hello. Welcome to Angel High School. My name is Rebecca. Here's your schedule and a map of the school. Your guide should be here any minute. Why don't you go ahead and take a seat."

"Thank you." I said. Wow she is really nice. I was sitting there for about 2 minutes when this guy walks in.

"You must be Rose. I'm Branden. It's nice to meet you. I am your guide."

"Hi, it's nice to meet you too." I said. OMG he must really work out.

"So how do you like California so far?"

"I would have to say it's much better than New York. Everybody here is so nice and welcoming. Your not being run over every time you turn a corner."

"Yeah that is true, but wait until you really start to get to know everybody, then you will get run over every time you turn a corner. Just to let you know we have the same classes. The front office picks the student with the most classes that are the same as the newcomer's old school schedule, so we can help them around."

"Oh, okay." That is all I could say because you would get lost just looking at his eyes. It is like when you look into them you get sucked in. I looked down at my schedule and saw that I had biology first. Great I thought to myself. Now I have to go disect a frog first thing in the morning.

As I walked in to biology, everybody was starring at me. But not in a bad way, I think. My teacher told me were to sit, which of course was right beside Branden. I didn't mind sitting beside Branden at all.
