In the beginning, there were the Aurans. These people where the creators of magic and the arts of the sword, until they mysteriously disappeared. People say invaders took their land. Some say they found a way to turn themselves into pure aura. However, for now, let us commence at the beginning.
There was a kingdom, the kingdom of Columba. The ruler of this kingdom, named Pyxis, ruled fairly with his wife, Queen Apsua. Every dweller in this empire lived with endless bliss. Among these villagers, was a boy named Lepus.
The boy was born on June 21, with an older brother, by the name of Lupus. Lupus had jet-black hair with eyes as red as blood. Lepus, although, had smooth blonde hair, as golden as the sun and eyes as blue as the ocean. Lepus’ mother suddenly died when they reached at the age of eight. An abrupt eclipse came, of the three moons; a murky fog came and swallowed people up. They were never seen again. She was one of these people.
When Lepus reached the age of twelve, he was officially old enough to be an apprentice. He and Lupus shared a master, by the name of Navis. They were equally skilled, until that fateful day, on the fifth anniversary of his mother’s bereavement, when they were 18 years old…
“Lupus…Lupus, get up! You know Master Navis will scold us if we are late again!” Lepus advised him. “What’s the point? We can only learn our skills up to a certain level, by law of Corona, so why should we train any more?” Lupus replied. “Lupus, my brother, it is for honor and tradition! These laws helped set this kingdom into a magnificent city! Mother wou-” “Don’t talk about her!” Lupus interrupted. “She was my mother, too! You are no different from me!” “Silence! I have no need to talk to you no longer!” “My brother, you are shifting away from me every passing day…”
Lepus left his home, searching for his brother along the way to his master. He was quite popular among the villagers, with him being the chief’s son, as well as his generous personality. “Lepus! Lepus!”
Lepus turned around, seeing that is was Luna, the local magician’s daughter. Luna had brown hair, like her mother. Her eyes were a confident emerald green. “Why hello, Luna. How are you? Have you seen my brother recently?” “I’m fine! And Lupus? I think I saw him grumbling about something. I thought I heard the word ‘serpent’ too. You should be careful today with him.” “All right...Thanks, Luna.” “Hey, by the way, my dad taught me a new spell! Wanna see?” “Sure!”
She clapped her hands, the way black magic always started. Her signature green aura started to swirl as she clenched her eyes, focusing on the spell. Finally, she opened her eyes, yelling out, “Thunder!” A blue streak of electricity came down and struck the earth. Luna jumped up and down in glee. “Alright, I did it, I did it!” You see, Luna wants to be the first female to master gray, red, black, and white magic. Nevertheless, that is another story, for another time.
“Keep training, Luna okay? By the time you learn Thundara, Fira, or Blizzara, I’ll buy you a treat, ok?” Lepus bargained. Luna’s eyes glistened with determination. “OK!” She dashed of to her house to tell her parents. Eventually, Lepus made it to the dojo.
“Ah, Lepus! You have appeared early, as everyday! Excellent! And I presume your brother is being your brother?” Navis questioned. “Of course.” Lepus told him. “In fact, we had a quarrel today.”
“No matter. I am sure he will show soon. Let us continue with our preparation of your graduation. We shall begin with basic sword training evaluation. First, show me your weapon performance.” Navis instructed. “All right, master! I hope you are okay with me using a lance?” “Go ahead.” “All right… Here we go!”
Later, after 3 hours of training…
“Hmm… Lepus, I have observed your skills for many moons now… and I think you should develop into a dragoon.” “Drag…oon?” “A knight who wields a lance. Identified for a balance between potency and resistance, but uses swiftness for most skills.” “If this is what you desire for, master, it shall be as you asked.”
“OLD MAN NAVIS!” an identifiable voice shouted. “Lupus!” “Navis! I challenge you to a duel!” “Lupus, you understand, if I defeat you, you are banished from the dojo, but the whole village?” “Lupus, this is entirely disgraceful!” I shouted. “Close your mouth, Lepus! Your heart is pathetic! It has no darkness! Your weakness is your sympathy! Join me, and let your power amplify 100 million fold!” Lupus commanded. “No! I’ll never join you!” “Then, I’ll force it out of you!”
By this time, Navis has drawn his cane sword. “Lupus, what have you done?! You have let the darkness block up your soul!” Navis exclaimed. Lupus drew his razor blade for his sash. “I’ve gone to the wicked smith known as Serpens! I have mastered the evil blade!” Lupus exclaimed. “My power has improved greater than before…ever since I was 8…my true power got unleashed on that day...” Lupus admitted. “No…. you did that...you…killed her….I swear… I’LL KILLLL YOUUU!” Lepus shouted.
“Lepus, no! Don’t do it!” Navis yelled. “RAHHH!” Lepus was unleashed true powers deep inside his soul. His hands twisted into claws and his eyes turned blood red. “No…the reaper inside him….has unleashed…”
Lepus proper body and aura essence were becoming unleashed and Lupus saw this as an opportunity to finally absorb his brother’s reaper powers. “Brother, let me see your true power!”
