- In this room where I sleep, I hear the wind howling through the bare trees of winter, I hear the wolves sing there eerie music, and I also hear -- screams. Screams of the tormented souls in this stone castle's dungeons. I alone am spared from this torment. But only because I am immortal. I have been stabbed through the heart, hanged by my neck, and even by Vlad Dracul himself -- impaled. My loving mother has kept me here because of that. She was a strong witch and her spells could last for centuries. But I can tell the spell has begun to weaken. Soon I shall be set free and be able to walk on the worlds once more.
