Iris awoke in a dark, stone cell. Water dripped from the ceiling and crashed to the ground. Each splash echoed in her ears. A chain rattling also echoed in her ears. It sounded as if it were coming from the opposite side of the cell. Iris rose to her feet. She felt her way around as she inched towards the sound. The stones were slimy from the dripping water. Iris shivered. She didn’t realize how cold it was in here till started to move around. If only I had my cat eyes, She thought. Just then something grabbed her ankle. Iris screamed.
She reflexively kicked what ever grabbed her. All she heard was the sound of a bone snap and a low, dangerous growl. Then her ankle was released. The sudden smell of blood flooded her sinuses.
“I’m so sorry, I didn’t… that is, it was an accident,” Iris felt around for the thing she kicked.
She grazed skin. It recoiled from her hand.
“Don’t you dare touch me you filthy cat! Your luck I don’t launch across this cage and kill you for injuring me!” a dark, smoky voice boomed at her.
“my apologies, but I was only trying to fix the damage I have done by my reaction. I have to say that scaring someone like that you’re bound to get hurt.” Iris explained.
That dark, smoky voice started to laugh, actually laughed.
“a worthless Werecat wants to help a wolf, that’s one I haven’t heard before.”
“look! I don’t care about your breed; I made a vow to help everyone in need. I for one think this war should have ended years ago. Iris Snarled.
The laughing continued. Iris gave a warning growl. Her stomach started to roll. The nausea swept through her and brought her to her knees.
“What’s wrong kitty cat? Can’t take the drugs?” the wolf said in a sarcastic tone.
If Iris had the strength to kick that stupid wolf again she would, but she didn’t on fact she have the breath to even yell at him. Soon she found herself on the ground gasping for air.
“Ah s**t!” the wolf beside her cursed “you really can’t take the drugs, come on don’t let those human beat you. There’s no honor in dying at the hands of human trash.”

“Oh really now will I suffice?” a familiar voice shouted from outside the cell.
Gears grinded and then a clicking sound. With that the door opened and filled the room with light. An average height teenage boy stood in the door way. He had shoulder length red hair, with mismatch blue/green eyes.
    “Sab…ian?!” Iris breathed.
“Surprised? You really shouldn’t. Think about it my dear princess. These human pay a mint to get a live species, both of them.” Sabian looked at the wolf across the cell.
Iris vision started to get blurry. Why you were my most trusted friend? Iris thought.
“No way you’re the princess one of cats I’ve been trying to kill for the last ten years. Ha that’s great; I’ve been bagging on the royal blue blood. Hey when I get out of here maybe I’ll take you with me keep you hostage and end this war once and for all.” The wolf busted laughing.
Sabian snickered. Iris’s body started to shake uncontrollably and breathing be came almost impossible.
“That’s right Iris change for me, you get the serum if you do. The poison that’s flowing through your veins will kill you if you don’t.” Sabian smirked.
“One step closer and I’ll gut you here and now,”
“And how are you to threaten me?!” Sabian shrieked, “Oh that’s right, you’re the has-been general whom got himself captured. Now you disgrace your self by aiding you destined enemy?!”
A terrible growl and snarl came from Iris. She moved in sharp jolts. Her eyes grew wide and she started to claw the ground. Iris’s back arched off the ground. He canines elongated her claws razor sharp. Bones started to crack and move. What’s happening to me? What ever this is I have to fight this, Iris thought, can’t let this win.
“That’s it Iris change, lets see that beautiful pelt that is so gossiped about,” Sabian encouraged. The world went black.
