• Many days had passed since the final battle of Hogwarts and Voldemorts defeat. Those who had died had funerals and were properly buried. While many mourned their losses others were happy that things were once more back to normal.

Harry Potter, even more famous then he was, stayed with the Weasley's for the time being. Hermione kept badgering him to go back to school with her the next year. But truthfully, Harry had had enough of school. Even though Hogwarts was his home he wanted to move on to different things.

Speaking of different things, Ginny Weasley was hoping to have a word with Harry sometime soon. Things had been so busy when the funerals that had been going on that Ginny hadn't had the time to have a word with him.

It was the weekend now and everyone in the house were entertaining themselves. Ginny walked past the living room and saw that Hermione and Ron were sitting on the couch close together with a book in both their laps. Ginny smiled at the sight of them, she always knew that they would be together in the end.

Ginny walked up the winding stairs and stopped two flights up. Instead of staying in Ron's room Harry had been staying in Percy's old room and Ginny knew that was where he was now. She came to a stop at the closed door and took a breath. She knew she had to say everything just right or it would all turn into a disaster.

She lightly knocked on the door twice and waited. She heard some movement in the room and then the door opened. Standing before was the one she had loved ever since she had first set eyes on him, Harry Potter. She smiled sweetly at him waiting for him to speak first.

"Hey Ginny. Didn't expect you to come see me. What did you want? Mrs. Weasley have something for me to do?" Harry said, just as unobservant as ever.

Ginny had been signaling him signs all summer to Harry to let him know that she still liked him. She was disapointed to see that he hadn't noticed.

"No Harry. Mum doesn't need you to do anything. I just...wanted to talk," Ginny said.

Harry looked at her and nodded. "Alright then. You can come in if you want," Harry replied as he stepped to the side leaving room for Ginny to walk in.

Ginny did want to come in so she walked in and Harry closed the door behind him. Ginny walked over to Harry's bed and sat at the end of it. Harry just watched her as she did so. He didn't know how he felt with being alone with her now. He had been afraid that she was angry with him for breaking up with her the year before last. But he had only done that because it was for the best and Ginny would be safer that way.

"So, what did you want to talk about?" Harry asked.

"I wanted to talk about...," Ginny paused for a minute. Would it be wise to just go ahead and say what she wanted to. She looked at Harry and saw that he had an eyebrow raised as if questioning her without saying anything. "Us,"Ginny finished lamely.

"Oh," Harry replied. A slight blush had appeared on his face as he said that. He had figured that Ginny didn't have any feelings for him anymore. He knew he had feelings for her but had just been to afraid to admit them to her and have her still be mad at him. "Er, what exactly about us did you want to talk about?" Harry asked.

Ginny visibly gulped. She was so nervous right now, she kept feeling like Harry didn't like her back.

"Well, I wanted to know if....know if you still liked me?" Ginny said. She looked down and fiddled with her fingers nervously. She didn't want to see Harry's reaction to her question.

Harry had a puzzled look on his face. Had she just asked him what he thought she had? Why did she ask if he still liked her? Well, he hoped that's what Ginny had asked so he decided to truthful with her.

"Yes Ginny. I do like you. Why do you want to know?" Harry replied.

Ginny looked up and stopped messing with her fingers, a small smile on her face. He did like her, he did! She was so happy now.

"I want to know because I like you too Harry. I've never stopped liking you. Actually, I love you," Ginny said her small smile growing into a grin.

"Wow Gin. That's wonderful. Because I don't just like you...I love you too," Harry said as he walked towards her.

Ginny stood up from the bed and was only an inch apart from Harry now. She noticed Harry lean toward her and she did too so that the space closed between them. Their lips met in a sweet passionate kiss. They pulled apart after a few minutes and rested their forehead's against each others as they caught their breath.

Harry placed a gentle hand on Ginny's cheek and whispered, "Would you like to go out to dinner with me tomorrow?"

Ginny smiled again. "Yes Harry. I will go out to dinner with you," Ginny replied. She met his lips again and wrapped her arms around his neck.

Neither of them had been aware that the door had just been open by Ron Weasley who was visibly red in the face, angry and embarassed at what he had been witnessing.

"Oi! What do you two think your doing?" Ron nearly shouted.

Ginny pulled away and pointed an angry finger at Ron. "What does it look like I'm doing? I'm aloud to kiss Harry and nothing you say can stop me," Ginny said.

Ron got redder in the face and seemed to be at a loss for words. It was lucky that Hermione had heard Ron shout because she now stood behind him and placed an arm on his shoulder. She turned him around to face her.

"Ron, calm down. There's no need to be angry over this. We've known they've liked each other for years," Hermione said calmly.

Ron's face wasn't really that red anymore but had a light tinge of pink to it still. He let out a sigh. Hermione knew she had calmed him down and she smiled. She leaned towards him and kissed him lightly on the lips.

Harry and Ginny looked at each other and they both had looks on their faces as if they were about the laugh.

Ron pulled away from Hermione and turned to Harry and Ginny, raising an eyebrow at the looks on their face. They finally let out the laughter that they had been holding in and surprisingly Ron, soon followed by Hermione, joined in as well.

When the laughter got under control Ron was the first to speak. "I'm sorry I got angry with you guys. Forgive me?" Ron said as he wrapped an arm around Hermione who had been standing next to him.

Ginny nodded and Harry did to. "Yeah, we forgive you. I wouldn't be to pleased with you if you were really that upset with the reunited love that Ginny and I have," Harry said. Ginny smiled and kissed Harry on the cheek. Harry wrapped his own arm around her in response and hugged her close to him. Their love had been reunited and all was well.
