• Writers club open ended story; Was it only a kiss?

“ I really don’t even know what happened. I‘m sorry.” His dark brown eyes stared deeply into

her own. She took a deep breath, nearly choking on her own spit from attempting to talk. He

placed a hand gently upon her arm. She winced a bit, as if his touch burned her flesh.

Considering the pain he had put her through, it may in fact have. She always dreamed for a

night like this. Why did he have to be perfect?

“ I really do wonder how someone such like yourself, can still love someone so absolutely

evil… how much longer can you want to be with such a monster….” He spoke slowly and

soft. They were sitting quietly on the steps of a grave yard. A moment of black sickening

silence fell. She could not look him in the eyes anymore. Memories flooded her mind. It was a

fact, that he had left her a year before. She still hurt, but as always life went on. To twist

the knife in further, he lightly drew hearts on her arm with his finger.

“How is she anyway?” she asked as if chewing on her words.

“Who?” He asked innocently. He always had a way of making her feel as if she was the

only girl in the world for him. Even when she knew she wasn’t. Perhaps that’s how he got

    away with it.

“ You know… her… thin, blond, sweeter then sugar” Then his face scrunched up a bit.

Followed by an oh-so-famous “oh.” The same “oh” he made when she told him she knew

    about his “one night stand.”

“Cassandra is fine.” He said a tad angry. She thought back to his hands stroking her own

body. Her tummy box started to hurt. She would never be his number one, but she could

never ever stand to be his number two. But yet as life is cruel, she still loved him. His smile,

    his security, his own cruelness.

“ Believe it or not, I actually miss a lot of things about our relationship. I miss you.” That

was the last thing she had ever expected to hear. She instantly thought back to her other.

She also had someone new. As humans are she chose someone who was the complete

opposite of the man, who stood before her.

He sighed loudly. Eyes glancing down to the ground, then back up at her eyes. Her heart

hurt. She was confused. She could almost taste his sweet mint lips. He was very

considerate there, always popping mints every few minuets or so to keep his mouth fresh.

He placed one hand under her chin and pulled it up.

“ Very cheesy.” She said attempting to look anywhere but his face. He held it tight.

“ I know you though. You like cheesy.” He brought his lips closer. Again she winced.

“ I thought you still loved me?” He asked more annoyed then angry. She nodded slightly.

“I have someone new too. So, come on. stop it.” He rolled his eyes, then standing up he

    said.

“ If you want me, you can have me, have it all. Is that what you want?”
