- "Rouge! Rouge!" Oliver hollered as he franticly searched for the missing princess. Rouge watched in amusement as her top servant went in circles looking for her. She swung her snow-white feet as she sat gently on a high branch of her oak tree. Not long after the 'game' had started, Rouge grew bored and climbed down when Oliver wasn't there. She then proceeded to go to her room, leaving Oliver searching the entire castle. She giggled as she thought of his tired expression. "Now then," She smiled into the mirror "what shall I wear today?" She danced though her room-sized closet, glancing here and there at all the different dresses and accessories. "This one!" She beamed happily at the beautiful orange color. After putting it on she looking into the large mirror. This was one of her favorite dresses, it matched her royal gold eyes perfectly. Delighted, she headed to the Main Hall where she would meet with her fiance, Christopher. Just as she headed down the graceful staircase Christopher walked in, and in the spur of the moment Rouge acted like a commoner and hugged him tightly. He smiled down on her. Though only a year older then Rouge, he had grown nearly a foot when he turned 17. "I am unsure, have you come for tea, or a meeting with father?" she stepped back, folding her paws gently in front of her. "Both." he winked at her charmingly. "First I must clear my mind by spending time with my beloved." he smiled once more. "Ah, im so happy!" Rouge wanted to dance in glee. "Come then, to the garden." Rouge held his paw and led him down the sunshine-lit halls to the entrance to the sacred garden. Rouge was deeply in love with Christopher, they had grown up together knowing that one day they were to be wed. Every minuet she spent with him would cling in her heart. After a lovely tea they both bid their farewells as he headed toward the Kings Chamber to discus things that did not concern Rouge. It pained Rouge to see him go but she was still very happy to have been able to spend time with him. She figured it was about time to let Oliver know where she had been. She skipped around the castle, lightly chanting "Oliver, Oliver, where could you be? I came out of hiding, just look and see!" for every large hallway she passed. She finally found him, out of breath, and leaning against a wall. She smiled and tilted her head "Miss-! Miss-! We must get-! you ready-! Prince Christa--! Pher-!" He gasped in air every few syllables till he noticed she had already gotten dressed. He moaned and sighed in relief as he put his face in the palm of his paw. She smiled and skipped off to the Main Entry Hall once more. It had taken her so long to find Oliver, Christopher was probably already done with his meeting and almost ready to leave. She began to frown and run into the hall just as his cab drove away. "He must be awfully busy." she told herself, being that he normally waits a little longer in order to say his farewell to her. Being slightly depressed she headed towards her room. Just as she was about to pass one of the maids room, she stopped at the mention of Christopher's name. As rude as it might be to eavesdrop, she was already anxious towards when his next visit may be. Two maids were already in the middle of their conversation but maybe if she listened closely... "-the meeting today was about the Cats. Apparently there are suspicions thats they'll attack soon." the maid bickered worriedly. "And being that Prince Christopher's Father, King Dorom, is known for his fine weaponry, he has plans to overthrow the main kingdom by threatening to not lend his power when the attack comes!" Rouge's eyes grew large. She couldn't believe it. They must have been miss-informed, she thought. "Oh, this will be so hard for Miss Rouge to take, of course this will cancel all wedding plans. The poor dear." The other maid continued. Rouge began to turn around and started running towards the Kings Chamber. "No. No. No! He was fine! They're wrong! He was happy!" She told herself, and by the time she shoved the doors to meet her father, her eyes had already begun to water. "Its not true father! Tell me they were lies! Tell me Christopher's meeting with you was just like every other one! Tell me!" She questioned in fury. Her fathers gentle eyes grew wide in shock of his daughters tears. He slowly stood up from his throne, walked over to her and hugged her. "It was never Christopher's wish to hurt you, but his fathers selfish actions led to this. Unless Dorom has a change in heart, we can not do anything to change it." the King closed his eyes and sighed as Rouge choked up and started crying. The main Castle did not give in to Dorom's request, so when the Cats did not attack, King Dorom's castle fell into ruin and all of his family were forced to leave this country. Years later, after Rouges father passed away from old age, Rouge took up responsibility as Queen of the Main Kingdom. But having forgotten what feelings she shared with her love those many years, she is known as the Heartless Queen. Though, as rare as it is, she sometimes becomes gracious due to hearing of a king in a neighboring country who is known as the Heartless King, whom also has forgotten many feeling because of a incident from the past. Many say that they would incompatible due to their lack of feelings, but at the same time, a perfect match since they both share a similar challenge. Until the day a blessed soul is able to fill the void in Rouge's heart, her rein will be known as one from the Heartless Queen.
