My mom got Big-Mac and a large coke from McDonalds as I had a small salad and medium lemonade slushy from Pandora Bread. It was delicious and was very nice to eat with my side of mandarin oranges. I wish my mom won't eat big-macs in such huge and sloppy bites, sure I accept that she likes meat, but there is something’s vegetarians don't like and don't understand. I finished my meal before here and went to throw my plate away, as walking to the garbage can, I admittly felt air passing and I noticed that I was felling in a puddle of split milk. I was so embarrassed, I looked around and saw people staring at me after the big pulp on the ground and some people were giggling, and I could very much guess why.
I just tried to ignore them laughing at me, staring is one thing but laughing, that’s just cruel, I got up and I dusted off my close, my mom tried to comfort me for a sec but that was about it. I felt weird now that I have embarrassed myself in front of complete and utter strangers but it can't be as bad as I did it in front of people that I knew.
I could see why New York is so green, it rained for the hour mom tried to check a cab, which was almost impossible here even with all the cabs. When finally the cab came it was obscene and looked as it had not been cleansed in weeks. I could see a little baby barf, crumbs of cheerios, and cheeto dust on the ground. All I could say (actually think) was gross. The man who drove was obese and bald, head as shiny as a new penny and he had saving marks all over his face. Mother said to never judge a book by its cover, but anyone could see this man was sloppy as ever. I tried to stay clam most of the way to our new house but I couldn't daydream because of the stanch. A aggravating hour later, we approached our house.
I was in aw. There standing at least 4 stories tall was a white concrete, concrete and pine house with stainless glass windows , it wasn't as tall as the skyscraper buildings but still . I never knew Mother could afford something this huge, our house before was only like 2 stories high and but it had a huge yard, this was had a small front yard and a medium size backyard. At least I will have more room for my stuff, I thought and headed inside.
Inside it was just as big with a huge black and white checkered floor, white walls and a spiral staircase, wow was the first thing that came to my mind. How did she afford this, did she win the lottery or her life savings or something, I was about to ask mom where my room was, when a silver-haired elderly, thin, lady walked down the hallway.
"Hello, Mary, Audrey so nice to see you!" she said.
I leaned over to mother, now beside me and whispered, well a more like a mutter, " Who is this woman?"
She quickly muttered to me, "My mother"
