SMACK! The sound of Beth's open hand colliding with Malcom's cheek had surprised the both of them. Beth knew her hand had hit him harder than she meant it to, seeing as how when she hit him his head snapped to the left, but she wasn't worrying about that now. Malcom had called her a mistake, a waste of his time. He'd taken things much to far. She knew they the two of them were falling apart, but she never imagined that it'd all end like this.
The two of them stood there, still slightly shocked from what had just happened. Malcom rubbed his cheek. Beth watched as his face continued to grow red.
Good, she thought. I hope it bruises.
It was time for her to go. She turned and ran out of her now ex-boyfriend's room. She almost fell down the stairs, but soon regained her balance. She hadn't even had her coat on as she stumbled out the front door.

@kittycross
Yes, for now it is. I was hoping on making it into some kind of story, but I don't ever have time for things like that. I tried a different one once, but had to give up on it. There's always a lot going on for me, especially this year. Although, I hope to get back to this someday. - Report As Spam

- It this just a stand alone piece? It's very good. With an economy of words you give a visceral sense of Beth's emotional state
