tab Julie grabbed the cup of coffee that Detective John Trever offered, but she was shaking so much she didn't dare bring it up to her lips.
tab "Tell us what happened, Julie," John said.
tab Julie just looked down and kept looking down.
tab "Look, " John said, "we can't help you if you don't tell us what happened. Please, Julie, tell us.
tab "It's just that..." Julie started.
tab "Yes? What is it?" Detective Robert Seymore , John's partner, said.
tab Jule just started crying. "It's just that I don't want to remember what that man did to me." Julie started to cry harder.
tab "I know it's hard for you," Robert said, "We need you to describe him so we can catch him."
tab John and Robert stayed silent while they waited for Julie to respond.
tab Julie just continued to sob and started to wrap her arms around herself.
tab After a few minutes of silence Julie finally decided to talk.
tab "Okay, Julie," Robert said, "tell us what happened."
tab Julie hesitated for a few moments then started talking. "I was walking home from school and I decided to take a shortcut through an dark alleyway. Out of nowhere a hand grabbed me. Then he threw me against the wall and I hit my head hard. So hard I almost passed out. He got closer to me and started grabbing me, trying to get under my shirt and wanted to unbutton my pants." Julie had started sobbing between words.
tab "I started to fight back but he was stronger. He tore open my shirt and unbuttoned my pants. He started to unbutton his and..." Julie started to cry hard and and tears ran down her cheek.
tab John got out since he couldn't handle the engrossing story. He went to get a cup of coffee as Robert continued the interrogation. John grabbed the pot and a cup and poured the liquid slowly as he remembered the events that marked his life for the remainder of it. That b*****d, my father, John thought.
tab "How is the interrogation going?" Chief Micheal Johnson asked him, interrupting his thoughts.
tab The Chief was a short and chubby African-American with gray hair. He seemed shorter next to John.
tab "She is doing fine for her situation," John said, "She's shaken up and we'll send her home after this. She needs rest.
tab "When Seymore comes out with the details we'll get right on the case," the Chief told him.
tab John drank the black coffee. "I just want to bring him down hard," John said, "I'm a man of justice, you know that Mike, and raping an 15 year old isn't going to fly." John took another sip from the cup. "The type of criminal I hate the most are rapists, thats why I always try avoiding these type of cases."
tab "I'm very sensible about these type of cases too, John," the Chief said, "especially when a teen is involved."
tab "Yes, well, I want to find him as soon as possible, and by bringing him down, I didn't mean arresting him."
tab John headed back toward the interrogation room and the door opened.and saw Julie come out along with Robert. As Julie walked past John, she looked up at him with sad eyes.
tab "What did she say?" John asked Robert when Julie was far away enough.
tab "He is a white male with black hair," Robert said.
tab John waited for the rest of the details.
tab "What?" Robert asked him when he saw John staring at him.
tab "That's it?" John asked Robert.
tab "It was a dark alley, John."
tab "Damn it, Rob. We ain't got s**t."
tab "She cut a wound on his left eye. Duval got the blood from under her nail. We'll have the DNA results in a few days."
tab "A few days. We need to find him now! He might rape another girl."
tab "I'm sorry man but theres nothing we can do."
tab John walked out the door and got into his car and headed home.
