• A while back there were four guys. Dad, Younger Brother, Middle Brother, and Oldest Brother. They all lived on a farm. Each year when dad sold the harvest he gave the boys their share. "Little by little, piece by piece." he said.
Middle Brother and Oldest Brother didn't pay attention to what Dad said, but Youngest Brother listened very closely every harvest. One sad year, Dad died and left his fortune to the three boys. Middle Brother and Oldest Brother sold their share to live in Big City. Youngest Brother kept his land. Middle Brother said,"Why are you keeping your land? We will be rich and famous in Big City!"
"We will have a wonderful life with luxury!" Oldest Brother added. But Youngest Brother just said to them, "Little by little, piece by piece."
"Don't you want your fortune now?" Middle Brother said. Youngest Brother didn't take time to think about what he would say next, "No, if I keep my land, then little by little, I will be very rich."
The next day, Middle Brother and Oldest Brother waved at Youngest Brother on their way to Big City. They were riding the finest horses and had jewels and cash in their bags. They promised that they would return next year to visit.
The next year after a harvest, the 2 boys returned. Oldest Brother said,"We are having to sell some jewels here and there to keep our mansions. Middle Brother then added, "Why are you not having any problems?" Youngest Brother then said "Little by little piece by piece.".
Next year when the 2 boys came back they didn't come back on their horses. "We had to sell our horses and move to a smaller mansion to have money left over for food and other things." Middle Brother said. Youngest Brother then explained that that year he had enough money to buy Middle Brothers old land. He also said that the harvest had so much food that he had a little extra for himself. "Little by little, piece by piece." Youngest Brother said.
Next year the 2 boys didn't come back. So, Youngest Brother went to look for them in Big City. He found them living in 2 boxes behind a shack. Middle Brother looked away in shame. "We had to sell our houses for food money." Oldest Brother said. Then Youngest Brother offered them a job on his farm. He had now bought Oldest Brothers land and had a cook with 3 farm harvesters.
"Little by little, piece by piece." Oldest Brother said.
