- A girl and a boy stand next to each other, their ochre hair blowing in the wind. They look into each others dark brown eyes. Her eyes, his eyes, their eyes. They lock pinky fingers, "Together forever. No boyfriends or girlfriends, just us. Brother and sister. Inseperable..." The girl nods, "Agreed. If we come back as reapers, we'll still stay together." Her brother nods back, hesitantly, "Will our names change? Will we remember everything?Anything?" The girl looks ahead, "We'll remember our promise. Promises are rules." He stares at her, and dips his head in another nod. He faces forward again, acknowledging the sirens, the flashing lights, the protests, the cheers. He and his sister gaze at the crowd at the bottom of the building, and the girl starts the count down. "Three. Two. One. Bye bye." "Bye bye." He agrees grimly. Then they jump. They see the faces rushing towards them, the people pushing to get out of the way. They feel the adrenaline pumping through their systems, the rush of air as they fall. "See you in the next life," he says. "Agreed," she replies. Then, they feel... nothing.
