• Now, let's go back before sea camp, before the dates with Travis, before Travis even came into Ali's life. Back to the beginning. Ali had just found out her ex, Chris, had cheated on her multiple times during their year and a half relationship, and they had been going through a bad break up. But that was the last straw, and Ali had enough. The only person who even had the nerve to tell her was her friend, Leah. And Leah's boyfriend had broken up with her as well. The two had taken care of each other and stayed on the phone for hours.

But one night, the two decided to have fun. To forget about their ex's, to have fun, to let go.

"He's hot!" Leah exclaimed as they scanned through facebook.
"Not as hot as him." Ali giggled.
"Oh! Oh! Who's this? He looks cute."
"Who? Travis? Who's our mutual friends?!"
    "He is cute!"
    "HE IS."
    "I'm adding him!"
    "Me too! Me too!"

It only took a few minutes before the boy began talking to both girls and asking for numbers. Ali wasn't looking for a relationship; Lead wanted to flirt. Ali and Travis talked about simple things and such. Leah and Travis seemed to flirt. The two girls agreed that they would both hang out with Travis, and nothing serious would come from it.

Neither of them saw what was coming.

Both girls were out of town since it was summer, but the content and intentions of their conversations with Travis were polar opposites. But when Ali got home first, Travis wanted to hang out. She had nothing else to do, and they were going to go to her favorite mall. Plus, they had been spending hours on the phone and endless text messages. She would be a liar not to say she didn't have a crush on him. In fact, she told Leah. Leah's response was a laugh and telling Ali he liked lots of girls. But Ali kept trying and kept saying she did like Travis. And that's was it.

Ali got in her car and drove to the mall. Her heart raced, and she kept checking her hair. Fear overwhelmed her as she look for Travis. But there here he was, and her eyes sparkled. His black hair swept across his fore head, and he had everything Ali had ever wanted. He took her breath away.

"Hi." he said with a smile and his chocolate brown eyes made her melt.
"Hey." she said as she hugged him.

He was her Mr.Creeperpants, she was his little creeper, and all in that moment the world made sense to her. Her heart began to beat again, and hope finally came back to her. They walked the mall, they people watched, and they talked about things that meant the world or just stared at each other.

"Smile!" Ali cried as she pulled out her polaroid camera in Urban Outfitters and took his picture. His smile made her shiver with excitement. She was so happy just to be in his presence. "Look at this dress! Look at this!" she said as she kept walking through the store.
"Oh this would be cute on you." Travis smiled.
    "I hate being broke!"
    "Hah, me too."
Disturbia came on the music. Travis began to do the beat, and Ali began to sing and dance. They kept looking through the racks, and their eyes locked. His lips were mere centimeters away. Ali felt her body lean in, and in that moment her heart stopped.

Their facebooks blew up with statuses and talks of their amazing day. Drama happened after one date. Ali's friend began to freak out saying Travis was a whore. He simply deleted her, and Ali didn't head his warning. She told Leah about the date and how she should hurry home. Now, remember boys and girls, both these pretty little girls wanted Travis. One used him as a distraction from an awful break-up and was changing more and more and seemed to be..."whoring" herself. The other just wanted to talk and had spent her summer waiting for her lover to return to her and hadn't even tried to talk to other guys until now. We all know how girls play games. We all know they want revenge.

    But Leah said nothing.

Travis and Ali continued being head over heels for each other. He told his dad and everyone about her. He was happy to have her by his side, and she felt the same. Their second date was to the movies. To see the movie he also told Leah he'd see with her as well.

Ali told Leah, and Leah would sit there and say she "hated" Ali and act dramatic. Ali just assumed it had all been a joke.

Travis held Ali in the theater and as the movie started it began to quote Robert Frost, and Travis whispered it her word for word. She felt her eyes widen and heart race. Who was this boy and how was he so perfect for her? She looked at him in disbelief and saw his smile in the dark.

They went back to his apartment, met his roommates, and he made her dinner that came from the frozen food sections but made Ali happy. They laid next to each other and talked about what they wanted, past loves, past pains, and how Ali meant the world to him and she felt the same. Then it hit her, they were getting serious.

Ali was even more happy when Travis gave her the dragon and made it clear that although he was flirty on facebook that when he started getting serious with a girl she was all that mattered. And she saw that and felt that. But another realization: if that were true, then Leah wouldn't get a chance to do half of the things she wanted. Ali didn't think she would mine since Leah had been talking to more guys. Travis was the only one Ali had.

He walked her to her car, and kissed her goodnight.
"Text me when you get home, kay?" he whispered.
"Kay." And their lips met again.

So this is what cloud nine felt like.
