THE PERFECT CIRCLE
You close your eyes and see yourself in a circle of pure white light. It protects you from the evils of this world, the darkness surrounding you but not intruding your safe little bubble.
But things will change.
Years pass by and then someone appears on the outside of your circle, reaching towards you, beckoning with their poetic words that spin webs of lies like a spider trapping its prey.
You reach back towards them.
They break through the shield of light and the darkness seeps in around you, tainting you. You are horrified, screaming – your world is failing.
You are no longer perfect.
The circle of light that has kept you safe all these years, has failed you. You are not protected, you are not safe and you are not clean.
You are just like everybody else.
