• As Atem and his friend, Yuri, search the large group of children they spot Maria and her step sister, Shanu. Children tug at Maria’s silvery sun dress; playing with Shanu as she sits against the wall. A small pale girl comes up to Maria and whispers something in her ear. The child’s ocean eyes sparkled in the setting sunlight, as she giggled when Maria nodded.
“So you want me to tell you about my home? Very well, where shall I start?” Maria pretends to think, she crossed her thin, tan arms.
“Start at the Kingdom of Ra, or the Alter of the Sea, I don’t think they all have heard about those places.” Shanu smiled boldly at the waiting children. There eyes widen with joy, and they began to chatter with each other happily.
“Alright, well as you may have heard shanu and I are from the Realm of Blue Water. You may have also have heard of tales that tell about it. Now cast those aside and listen to my voice as I tell you all about Blue Water,” As Maria describe the wonderful lands, they all begin to fade and show the minty green grass as someone younger then shanu rides across on a winged black stallion. “The grasses of the south were always green, but they smelt like peppermint. The Rim of Heaven was a magical place with its snowy caps, I can only close my eyes and see the valley that lied inside of the mountains hands. The valley held captive flowers of many colors, but it held one of the fiercest, most amazing creatures. Yes, a dragon roamed those lands, but never once did they strike, for we had helped them retrieve their home. Into the north lies the land of the Earth Prince, Sharon, and the Sky Princess, Cecilia. Parries full of wildflowers and villages that hold neither staving, nor homeless child in its gentle grasp. Cecilia loved her people so much that she had seen to it that no one was every hungry or homeless. It’s the same with Sharon, he too enjoyed being around his people. On festivals like the Star Festival, he would dance and play games with the children. He would sit around the fire, listening to stories and watching the fire dancers. The Sea of Tunami feeds the sky river, which feeds the Earth River, and it also feeds the Kianmi River. The Kianmi River flows next to the Secret Camp in the west. Also the Port of Range is a wonderful port where many fishermen go to fish if they are very good at it. It is also where many Alliance Marines live. They make very wonderful ships. The Silver River flows in the south west next to the Silver Kingdom. Princess Sakura lives there, and did you know she got her name from her love of Cherry Blossoms? No, I thought not. Now let’s start with my home, as well as Shanu’s home, the Hidden Villages. Yes they truly were hidden from everyone that wanted to find us,” the rider that was making her way across the fields, stopped in the middle of no where. A wonderful and loud city was to her left, but the sparkling waters of the large river stopped her from going there. She slowly jumped off her excited horse, and lifted her silvery blue hood off her long, black hair. Her purple eyes were like amethysts that lit up even in the dullest light. As shanu lead her horse into the empty lands a strange thing happen, a village emerged! Children ran along its sandy roads, women hung saris up to dry, but only one thing caught her eye; a somewhat younger version of Atem, and Maria walking to her. Shanu ran to them and embraced them so. “The Kingdom of Ra was the only place that never wanted to harm us; in fact they wanted the herbs and medicines we made. So ever since the two places were created we have been trading back and forth. De Nile was the only thing that separated us; its cool clean waters came from the Sea of Moto. The water always sparkled in the sun light as if you dive down into its deep waters you will come back with many gem stones! The sky always was blue but many storms came when we needed the rain. In the highest place north east is the Alter of the Sea. It is a magical place where prayers are answered and the new princes and princess are blessed by the gods. It is also where a terrifying device is. With only one Element Guardian, it could destroy anything or everything. The sands of time have hid it from us; not even the Guardians know where it is. There is one more place I want to tell you about. It lies next to the Sea of Maji. You see in Blue Water, there is a place where people who live in cites, that are very large and amazing. Orchard City is one of these cities but not as much as Domino City. The Harbor, Orchard City, is where many boat builders live and where fishermen fish as well. Domino City holds many amazing sites; you can do almost everything that you do here, there! Spellcasters live in those places, and it is in those two places that magic is always flowing, never once stopping.” Maria’s voice stopped as the image focused back to Maria and Shanu sitting in front of many children, who were waiting quietly, listening to the wonderful world, wishing that they could see it.
“There was one more place you forgot, Maria, the Elemental Islands in the Sea of Luce.” Shanu explained.
“Alright you tell them about it then.” Maria smiled down at her.
“The Elemental Island is a place only known to the Elemental Guardians, for it is there homeland. Yes, it lays in the Sea of Luce with feeds the Silver River, but there is a river that flows into the island almost cutting it in half. The name is unknown but I know that the trees grow so large that in some parts of the forest its always night! Also in some parts the land is so dry that no one not even an animal lives there. Tall mountains form higher then many of your mountains. Lakes hold many things that neither I nor you have seen before, let alone heard about them. The grass smells of mint, and the flowers talk as well. Almost everything there talks in its own way. Sometimes you can’t understand it but sometimes you can. Lucarea’s home is in the mountains, but Skyando’s home is near the sea. There is more they can tell you but that is all I know.” Shanu finished with a smile. Several children got up and left with there parents or older siblings. The little girl with the ocean eyes stayed.
“Thank you for telling me all about you home, Maria and Shanu. You both must miss it a lot.” She spoke kindly to them. As they began to answer Atem and Yuri came over to them.
“Only a little, when you’re with the people you love and care about the homesickness goes away.” Maria spoke gentle to the child as a mother’s sweet voice call over to them. The little girl smiled and uttered thanks and went after her mother.
“You did very well with that.” Atem laughed.
    “Thanks.” Was all Maria said.
