• Prologue

Society, a structured community of people, helpful and safe; The ideal utopia. A fairytale for those that wish to believe it in a city as corrupt and polluted as Hope. An Ironic name for a city clouded in darkness. At one time, Hope was just as it name had intended, a place for dreamers and a place for schemers. A friendly little community, until seventy-three years ago. Corruption had finally seeped into the soil of Hope, in the form of a man named Marshall Tuckerson. A well respected man of the military, fifth generation on each side of the family, severed his country with honor, a well decorated man. The ideal man women wanted and men wanted to be like. In other words, The Devil.
Marshall Tuckerson came to Hope around the time of Hope’s annual spring fair. A time when people of all ages could come together, have fun, and get to know each other. The town should have seen Tuckerson for what he was then, but being the naive fools the towns folk were, they welcomed him with open arms as they had done everyone. That was the beginning of their end.
Three years later, half of the country was obliterated in a nuclear explosion caused by the civil war that raged. Hope no longer held the dreamers and schemers. The madness that was Marshall Tuckerson was all that remained of the Hope from before.
Marshall Tuckerson built his empire, destroying the surrounding cities until the entire country was under his control. Soon his thirst for power was turned upon the world. After three years of being in Hope, Marshall Tuckerson had destroyed everything that had once been called society. He finally ruled the world that had so kindly corrupted him. Cities lied in ruins, the blood of the innocent ran daily. Tuckerson ruled his empire with an iron fist. Anyone that had dared rise against him was soon struck down. It seemed as if all hope was lost for the country.
Six years had pasted since Tuckerson had taken control. Churches were closed. Even at the mention of a religion, blood was shed. The only idol to be worshiped was Tuckerson. History books were taken from the schools and libraries. The only thing they could learn was about Tuckerson and his many achievements. It seemed as if the phrase “hell on earth” had finally come true.
In the mass chaos that had befallen the world, the only shining light was a small group. Mainly known to the underground world, there was a small cluster of seven citizens that had survived the chaos. They had come together, falling under the name of ARCS; Angels Returning Citizens Sanctuary. They were the self-proclaimed protectors of the citizens, lead by a man known to the public as Michael. Able to avoid the radar of Tuckerson for eight years, The ARCS struck the leaders of Tuckerson’s Empire. Once the only one left was Tuckerson, they took their chance. Almost twelve years after Tuckerson came into power, His reign of terror was finally over with a knife to the heart. The chaos that had once fallen upon the world was beginning to disperse. Trustworthy leaders were put into positions, in order to establish order and stability. Finally after twelve years the sun shone brightly over the world. However, much like they had appeared from the darkness, the rebellious group known as ARCS disappeared without so much as a whisper.
Finally returning to a stable and united nation, the world was at peace. However, that peace was short lived. Twenty years after Marshall Tuckerson was killed, The chaos was beginning to return. The figures that had taken over soon became corrupted with the power in their hands. The ones that couldn’t handle it were replaced and killed. The world was once again thrown into chaos. With each time an official passed on, the people believed that they would be saved. These thoughts continued for another twenty years. Finally It seemed as if the ARCS that had once saved them were not coming back. It seemed as if no one was going to save the people.
However, hidden deep in the shadows, light was beginning to shine through. Twenty one years ago, a whisper was caught on the wind. It seemed as if hoping had paid off. Deep in the underground world, the ones that had once saved the world were returning. The ARCS had risen from the ashes atop the soil, only to heal the world’s wounds. It was time for the ARCS to save the world once more.
Although this time, The government had learned from Marshall Tuckerson’s mistakes. The for the last forty-one years, a secret group capable of matching the powers of ARCS had come into being. This secret group was filled with enhanced humans capable of keeping the disorder and chaos continuing. The group had come to be known as the Anti-Arcs. Unlike the ARCS the Anti-arcs like to make their presence known to the people as a fear factor. Not only were they capable of matching the ARCS, they kept fear in the hearts of the citizens, keeping them loyal to the government.
Once again the city is in turmoil, the only difference is this time, The light doesn’t seem to be shining as brightly as it once had. The once proud city of Hope, now the shining utopia of destruction seems doomed to stay in darkness.
