• The Falling of a Kingdom

Let me name the ways I love...she’s smart, strong, confident, even beautiful. Though it was the night that she almost lost every thing that I saw how weak she could be. Could I blame her for weeping for her loved ones? No, so I stood next to her helping her through it.

That night the castle was filled with fire and death, blood and steel. The hallways were filled with screams and shrieks of pain , even the most bravest of the kings knights were slaughter like babes in their beds. The monsters came from the darkness without warning it caught the kingdom by surprise. Deep in the thick halls of this castle is were I took the princess to safety pulling her behind me I felt a sharp tug on my hand I turned quickly to see the source. It was Kira the princess. She had dropped to the floor panting, exhausted, and spent. I new we couldn’t sit here for to long, but it was safer then were we had been. “We’ll sit her for a minute but only to catch our breaths” I said consolingly.

“No....” Kira breathed out in worry “I won’t leave without my brother and Sarah”

“We don’t have time for this” I assured her “Sarah is your knight she is a very capable person ....and we need not worry of your brother he has Azriel with him”. When I finished she just stared into my eyes, they were full of sandiness and despair, but I saw one other thing......hope. She took my hand

“If that is the case then my brother Michael should already be gone and safe” she stood up and dusted her self off “and Sarah should be worried and looking for me” wiping the fading tears from her face I could clearly see what I could only peak at before; her hope was restored “let us get to the exit that is were Sarah, Michael and his knight should be” she smiled...her smile was a magical thing restoring the courage I had not known I had lost. I smiled back at her and took off to the secret exit that was meant for escape for the royal family.
