• It had been three months since Vladimir’s death. A civil war had broken out upon the planet or at least that’s what the newsmen and newswomen said. Truth is, the Uubitsa had been targeted after all the Uubitsa did kill the president of the United States and the brainwashed voters wanted revenge.
A bomb exploded next to Akira. When is this going to cease? The sound of gunfire echoed around him as more of his comrades, fell to the ground, dead. Before he knew it, he’s the only one left and their advancing. “Maikl, it’s Akira,” He says into his commcuff. A few seconds of silence filled his ears before, “Go ahead Akira and attack but, when you’re done come back, Alucard will be there right about…” A shadow raven scoped out the area. Alucard had a bird’s eye view. He ran past already changed into his fox demon. Akira ran after him, his demon out too. In less than fifteen minutes they had wiped out the force and were headed back to the headquarters. The dark metal building glistened in the flames. Club N.V. had been transformed. They had changes made but the tall building that once served as a club was mostly the same. They hid underground; it was easier to move that way. Club N.V.’s elevators still worked but only a certain key could unlock the underground levels. Akira gave his key to Alucard and waited. He pressed negative ten the floor of the main operations unit. They waited only the doors didn’t close. Strange, we’re usually on our way by now. The lights flickered then went out.
A rumble violently shook the building then the emergency lights flickered on. They could see the military outside breaking their way in, they had about five minutes before the militia were on them. The Uubitsa around the club charged the door and some went with Akira and Alucard. The elevator moved slowly at first, then a jolt, and finally a drop. Alucard and Akira caught ahold of the bars on the elevator. That’s when the militia opened up the elevator hatch and dropped inside. They fought in the elevator but not too long as their fellow Uubitsa helped. The group knocked the militia out so The Uubitsa could interrogate them later. The small group that helped Akira and Alucard closed the hatch and went into floor negative ten. They proceeded with the security check such as I.D. eye and handprint testing then waited for Maikl to give the computer the all clear. Akira and Alucard passed through the doors eager for the battle statistics. “Maikl, How are the battle statistics?” They ask simultaneously. “Not well I’m afraid.” He says cautiously. “What do you mean not well?” Alucard asked. “Show them a map.” A full scale interactive map of Chicago appeared on the commcuffs screen and Akira transferred it to a visor. He took off the battle damaged helmet and put the helmet with the map on. He watched as the forces they were in control of were slowly losing the war. “There must be something we can do.” Akira said. Maikl looked at him and shook his head. “For one thing, you’re a demon you don’t need the armor so take that off. Second, they breached us. We managed to block them out of the elevator except for the captured ones and push the rest of the force outside before total lockdown. Finally, you’re a dreamer, Akira, and unless you can figure out a way to end matters peacefully, we have to fight to live.” Maikl said, he knew Akira wouldn’t fight back as everything he said was true. “Just give me my next mission and you two get back to decoding the damned journal.” Akira said his irises red from his demon. He took off the armor put the map back on his commcuff and went to the training floor. When he was gone Maikl and Alucard looked at each other. Alucard sighed, “He has to learn to listen before getting irritated.” Maikl shook his head, “That’s not the problem. The problem is he, like many teenagers, can’t control his emotions.” Another bomb hit the force field around the building and shook the contents inside. Akira had grabbed onto the wall to keep his balance. He growled as he knew the threat was imminent. He ran to and up the stairs. He made it to the ground level. A red light went on along with a siren. A flash of light and explosion pushed Akira back into the wall.
“Damage report,” Maikl yelled. A map of Club N.V.’s infrastructure came up. “Sir, it looks like they’ve breached the staircase.” A soldier dressed in armor said calmly. “Pull up the security camera on that staircase.” Alucard ordered. A view of the camera appeared. “Get me sound.” Alucard said. The smoke cleared and gunshots were seen hitting a black and white demon with red eyes. It had nine tails and appeared wolven in feature. “Akira.” Maikl and Alucard said simultaneously.
A soldier fired in bursts as he was trained to do at the massive creature in front of him. He knew this kid couldn’t be any more than seventeen to eighteen but that didn’t explain much. The kid had hit the wall and he as well as his group was told to guard the kid until he could be contained by their officer. His group he looked down at the puddle of blood and ash that had once been the rest of it. He was afraid and was trying as hard as he could to keep his head clear and from screaming. The creature roared, A beam shot from its mouth at the soldier. A scream, smoke and darkness.
