Fallen, he will realize the consequences and the depth of atonement. The boy and the girl will have to work together. As one, destiny will correct history itself.
Prologue
“Please keep her safe!” The queen screamed. She watched her maid scurry off with her baby. “My little girl…” Tears flowed down from her pale cheeks. The echoes of her crying baby pained her heart. The enemy soldiers kicked the door open. The commander of the troop walked toward the queen.
“Where is the golden key?” The queen is reluctant to answer. She would rather die than comply with the enemy.
“Kill me,” she proudly said, “For I wish to die here in this bedroom where I once shared with my king.” She wiped her tears away. All the fond memories start flooding in her mind. It was in this bedroom that the miraculous birth had occurred. And it was also the place where the king had decided their daughter’s name. Seeing that it was pointless to keep her alive, the commander swiftly ends her life.
“Report back that the enemies’ queen has fallen!” He orders his troops. He looks at the pitiful sight and clenches his fist. It doesn’t matter how long you served the military; murdering always gives a nauseating feeling. Even so, it is the practice of life itself. One must fall to usher in a new empire. He turns his back and stride passed his troops. “Make sure to slaughter everyone! Don’t leave anyone alive! Understand!”
“Sir, yes sir!” The troops yelled. They scattered throughout the castle, massacring those who once served their deceased king and queen. That day, the echoing of cries was overwhelming. The castle that once was a refuge for those who served the previous king and queen is nothing more but a blood bath.
