Z3R0
Chapter 1
Justice and Zero were standing in he middle of an ambush. "How the hell did we get caught by something so simple?" Zero asked, ready to attack. Justice quickly assessed the number of enemies. They were all brandishing swords and projectile weapons. "This will be easy. Zero, stand back." Justice said. He began to move as a blur, and the enemies couldn't keep track of him! In the matter of a few seconds Justice had taken them all down. Zero watched and laughed as they fell. "That was all too easy." Justice said, finally stopping. Zero looked at him. "But maybe we should've asked them why they were attacking us?" "They were probably sent by someone much stronger. Whoever it was, they did a good job of staying away... I don't sense any large energies anywhere." Justice answered calmly. Zero sighed as he continued to walk. He asked back, "Is that so? Well, I hope we get to meet this strong one soon... Let's go find The Creator. Maybe he can explain what's going on. Besides, I need to train with him...
Present Time - Fifty Years Later
Neither Justice nor Zero had aged since that time. They had both traveled around a vast majority of Z3R0, but of course, it was an endless field. The two were with three others named The Creator, Legend, and a new creation of The Creator named Hope. "Mercy has joined with The Dark one, hasn't she?" Zero muttered. "Yes, and it's amazing that we've kept up the fight for this long. We should've finished her years ago." Justice replied calmly. The Creator was sitting on the ground. "I'm glad I created this world. It makes me a lot less bored." He said to the two. His follower, Legend, walked up beside him. "Yeah. But you don't seem to like fighting like you used to." He said. Justice and Zero were talking to each other. The Creator looked into the endless blue sky before responding, "Well, I wasn't as strong as I am now. I didn't fully understand my power." As he finished saying this, the girl walked up to Zero and Justice. The two didn't even notice or greet her. "Ahem!" She said in a girlish voice. Zero winced. "Oh, hey, Hope. What do you want?" He asked. Hope sat down next to them before saying, "I'm bored, of course. I just tied up a few meanies that were trying to hurt me!" Justice waited patiently for her to stop before saying, "Zero, so we're agreed. We won't go looking for Mercy. She'll just have to find us." Zero nodded and looked over at The Creator. "Why did you have to go and make a girl, anyway?" He asked, slightly annoyed. The Creator looked back at him. "Probably to tick you off. But other than that, she isn't one of my better creations." He said. Hope walked over, annoyed. "What was that?" She asked, a rose appearing from her skin. "I said you're not one of my best creations." The Creator said with a louder voice. "And that whole thing with your skin being able to make plants creeps me out. Why did I give you that power?" Hope looked irratated and blew the petals off the rose. The Creator was surronded with them. Hope closed her hand into a fist, and the petals attacked. The Creator didn't get hit; he bended the laws of Z3R0 so that all the roses passed by him. "Silly girl." He said.
After Legend was done scolding Hope. Zero and Justice got up. "We'll be off now." They said. "We'll be gone from here for a while. If we need you, we'll go to Creativness." Zero explained. Legend sighed. "Have fun. Whatever that is to you two." He said, turning away from Hope. She ran over to the two. "I'm coming too!" Justice glared at her. "Your speed is insufficient. Zero and I travel... 79 percent faster than you and 67 percent longer." He said, calculating the numbers in his head quickly. Hope jumped on Zero's back. "Then I'll just do this!" She said. Zero grumbled. "Fine..." "How pathetic, little brother. I just hope that little sister and you will be ble to keep up." Justice said, running quickly ahead. He became a blur, then invisible to the normal eye. Zero followed, running equally as fast. "Big brother scares me..." Hope whispered to Zero. "As I should." Justice responded, glancing back at her. Hope made the mistake of looking into his eyes. Justice said, "Vanish!" And he and Zero became invisible to Hope. She was riding on nothing. "Wha?" She asked, confused. A large serpent suddenly appeared in front of her. "AAAAHHHH!" She screamed. Zero laughed a little. "We're going to hell, aren't we?" He asked. Justice looked over at him. "We don't die, remember?" He said, breaking the trance he had over Hope. She nearly fainted, but kept awake. "Ooohh, big brother you're soo mean!" She yelled, throwing several roses at Justice. He dodged them all esily and continued running with perfection. "Alright, stop it you two." Zero said. Justice said nothing else.
Legend and The Creator had made their way back to Creativness. The Creator went to his castle, the largest one in all of Z3R0. "Ah... I yearn for the days when life here was random." Legend said, reminiscing. The Creator looked back at him. "I guess that was my fault. I let people in here, and we can't look like idiots when we're supposed to be the most powerful beings in all of Z3R0." He said. "It's just a shame that The Grey Mage, Smashy, and the others didn't live as long as us..." Legend continued. "That's their problem. The only thing is that I can't create them again, due to the fact that they were already here when I created Z3R0." The Creator said, sitting down in a large chair. "But what about Justice's friends that were all killed? Can't you create them again?" Legend asked. "Yes, I could, but they were all weak. Justice and Zero are two of my most prized creations. I don't know how many of my actual creations are still alive, but five are." The Creator answered. Legend looked irratated. "You were the one that created Mercy and The Dark One then?" He asked. "Yes, what of it? I figured Justice and Zero needed a new enemy to fight or else they'd run out of their usual top fighting abilities." The Creator answered. "So now what?" Legend asked. "I dunno. Let's go explore the city for a while." The Creator responded.
Zero, Justice, and Hope had arrived at the City of Light, which, ironically enough, was right across from the City of Darkness. "What exactly are we doing here?" Zero asked Justice. Justice didn't turn his head. "Looking for something to do, of course. Let's see... what's there to do here... ah, I think we may need some money." Hope said, butting in. "Silly girl, of course we don't. Our blades are extremely well crafted, our energy regulates us..." Justice said. He was cut off by Hope. "But I don't have energy like that! I eat food too! Oh wait, nevermind. The Creator gave me that pink energy a year or two ago. Guess I forgot." She said, hitting herself on the head lightly. Zero put her down. "No more rides for you. Sheesh, I may have alot of strength... but you almost broke my back!" He said. "Are you implying something?" She asked, her eyes flaring. "You need to learn to control that temper of yours, little sister." Justice said. "What temper?" She asked in the same cutesy voice she had normally. "What the hell did you create, The Creator?" Zero asked, groaning. The three went into the City of Light. There they met several winged beings which called themselves angels. "What are you doing here?" An angel asked Justice. "We're mostly angelic. Leave us alone." Zero snapped back. "But what about the girl? She seems to be part demon..." The angel asked. "She's with us. Let us through." Zero said, pushing by. Justice sighed. "So rude, little brother. She was talking to me." He said. "Now what are we looking for?" Zero asked Justice. "An old friend... one that may be able to help us look for something..."
