Chapter 3
“Are you the one that sent those weaklings after us, then?” Justice asked with a calm voice, glaring at Mercy. “So what if I did?” Mercy asked, her sword in her hand ready to fight. “Do you still bear a grudge against Justice?” Zero asked. “He killed my best friend in the last (( And unfinished )) story!” Mercy yelled. Justice had a stern look on his face. “Yes, I did. She was asking for it, you silly girl. So I see that you have sworn vendetta on us then?” He asked. Mercy looked angered. “In fact I have. I used to respect and look up to you, Justice. But now I’ve become stronger than you.” Mercy said with a dangerous tone. “You will not kill me now or ever.” Justice said coldly, his hand on his own blade now. Mercy covered her blade in red energy, making it look as though it had been set on fire. “Zero, you poor fool. You were once stronger than Justice, but now look at you.” She said, laughing at him. It was Zero’s turn to be angered. “That was when big brother and I were enemies!” He said with an angry look in his eye and his hands in the shapes of fists. “He’s not nearly powerful enough to fuse with me yet… too bad.” Justice thought to himself as Mercy attacked.
Present Time – 50 Years Later
Zero and Hope had gone outside to the city, leaving Justice and Avenger alone. “So do you have any idea who else of my previous teammates are alive?” Justice asked, sitting down across from him. “No, of course not. If I did, I sure wouldn’t be here.” Avenger said, crossing his arms. “Yes I am. Just thought you might have the slightest idea. But what are you doing here of all places?” Justice asked. Avenger looked a little irritated. “Why should I tell you?” Justice opened his eyes wide. “Because I’m stronger than you. I have the eyes (( Line taken from Death Note )).” Avenger looked down at the table, knowing full well what would happen if he looked in Justice’s eyes. “I’m hiding from The Dark One.” He said. “She’s also trying to find your teammates, but for a different reason. She wants to kill them off, one by one.” He muttered. Justice closed his eyes a little. “Whoever she finds is in serious danger.” He said aloud. “Thank you.” He finished, getting up and walking out of the restaurant. He had a feeling that Avenger wasn’t telling the full truth, but let it slide because he knew Avenger was done for. The Dark One walked out of the shadows when Justice was gone and looked over at Avenger. “Good job.” She said simply before dragging him into the shadows. She walked away, and Avenger’s body was gone forever.
Zero and Hope had, not surprisingly, gotten bored of waiting for Justice and began to walk around the city, Hope clinging to Zero’s jacket with one hand so she wouldn’t get separated from him. “It’s too bad you don’t know how to sense other people’s energies.” Zero said, sighing. A few angels had glanced at the two as they passed. “I’m hungry again, big brother.” Hope said. “You really must learn to control your energy so it’ll regulate your body.” Zero replied. Hope giggled a bit. “Sorry, I’m not the best at controlling my energy… but then again, you’re not as good as Justice!” She said, sticking her tongue out at him. Zero bonked her on the head. “Big brother!” She whined loudly. A few angels turned their heads, but Zero ignored them and kept walking. “Don’t make a scene. I think Justice is outside of the city now…” Zero said. The two made their way out of the city, avoiding any further suspicion under the watchful eyes of the angels. They met up with Justice a few hundred feet outside of the city. “What’s up with Avenger, Justice?” Zero asked. Hope, for some reason or another, was still holding onto Zero. “Avenger was being threatened by The Dark One to fool me into a trap. Well, it didn’t work, and he’s no longer among the living anymore.” Justice explained. “Why? Was The Dark One there?” Zero asked with surprise in his voice. “Yes, she was.” Justice answered calmly. “Why didn’t you beat her up big brother?” Hope asked. “Because it was a public place. But this isn’t only The Dark One’s doing. I’m 95.6 percent sure that Mercy has something to do with this too.” Justice replied. Hope looked a little bit scared.
The Creator and Legend had run to a forest after their unusual encounter. The forest had been created by countless numbers of people who had control over plants and foliage, so it was heavily wooded. It was also home to some of these plant controllers. The two were jumping across the trees heading to one of Z3R0’s beaches with had just recently been added by The Creator. “You have really made a wonderful dimension and world.” Legend said, looking around as they approached the beach. They had made their way across the forest quickly, which should come as no surprise to any of you readers. The Creator looked out at the ocean, his hands in his pockets. Hundreds of people were stretched out along the coastline, doing some of the most obscure things that a normal human would ever have seen. “Yes, I know this world is amazing. That’s why I sacrificed my normal human life.” He said, jumping down onto the beach and landing with a thud. Several people glanced over at the distraction and recognized it as The Creator and Legend, two of the most powerful figures in all of Z3R0. A girl screamed out in joy. “Omigosh it’s The Creator and Legend!” She yelled. Everyone rushed up to them and The Creator looked sort of flattered. “Thanks for the introduction.” He said to the girl, rubbing the back of his neck with a free hand. “Listen, guys, I’m just here to have some fun. Now go back to whatever you were doing.” He said. Everyone did as he said and he and Legend began to enjoy themselves.
