Chapter 4
"How many of your teammates do you think that Mercy has already gotten to?" Zero asked. The three of them were still standing in the field a couple hundred feet away from the town. Zero had finally forced Hope to stop clinging onto him. "I am willing to make the assumption that she has only gotten to Avenger, or else she wouldn't have just told me to go look for them.. I wouldn't be able to find them if she'd already killed them." Justice explained, taking the hood of his cloak off. He glanced from the City of Light to the City of Darkness. "You think we need to go over there?" Zero asked in disgust, noticing Justice looking at the City of Darkness. "I'm not going there!!!" Hope whined with a hint of anger in her voice. "Don't worry, we're not going in there, not now at least. I don't sense anything in those shadows that would be of interest to us now." Justice said. "Where to then?" Zero asked. Justice glanced over at him. "Zero, take sister and go back to The Creator and Legend. I'm going to catch up with one of my very old teammates. I know for a fact that he is still alive and hasn't been tracked by The Dark One yet." Justice said. "Don't hurt yourself." Hope muttered, jumping onto Zero's back. "For once I'm siding with her." Zero said, sighing and taking off, leaving Justice alone.
Justice thought for a few mere moments, rooted on the spot, and then took off. He finally realized that his past memories were coming back to him. Fifty years ago something had happened. "Think.... something horrible happened fifty years ago or else I wouldn't be remembering these things." He muttered to himself as he ran through the grassy green fields at blinding speeds, passing several towns. The sky had few clouds in it at the moment. Time stood still in Z3R0, but everything changed. Justice was running in seemingly the middle of nowhere, but soon reached a large mansion.
The guards glared at Justice, crossing swords in front of the door as to stop him from going in. "What business do you have here?" One of them growled. They knew who he was but still didn't let him pass. "I must talk to Bushi." Justice said calmly, quickly glancing at both of them and catching their eyes. The two fell to the ground, clutching their heads and looking into nothing with an empty look of shock on their faces. Justice walked over to the door and reached out to turn the doorknob, but an electric spark licked at his hand. "How lame." Justice said, grabbing the doorknob and ignoring the one thousand watt shock that went through his hand. He stepped inside and looked around, noticing Bushi atop a spiraling staircase. Bushi clapped his hands slowly. "As expected, Justice." He said, beginning to descend the stairs.
The Creator and Legend were at peace with themselves. The Creator was clothed only in his pants as of now. Legend was laying in the sand, still fully clothed, whatever that was to him. The Creator had already gone to play in the water, playing with others near the age of fourteen. "Creator, ever think your name isn't the most creative one?" Legend asked, looking into the literally endless blue sky. The Creator was looking at the ocean. "So? T3h 1337 1 wasn't that original either. But I guess that was a simpler, stupider time. Of course, I try to keep some simple and hilarious elements here, but it's getting harder and harder. This world is growing with people from every dimension and race. It's a good thing I made it endless. But I digress." He said, almost monologuing. Legend looked surprised. "I wasn't the smartest thing back in that time. I'm not even sure how I got here." He said, sighing. The Creator laughed. "Doesn't matter now. That was thousands of years ago by human terms, though not a single second has passed here." He said. "By the way, I'm creating an equal to Zero." He said to Legend. "Don't you think those two have enough trouble as it is?" Legend asked. The Creator sighed. "Not really." He muttered, running out into the ocean. Legend read his thoughts. "Negative Zero? I hate to admit it, but that is pretty creative..." He mumbled. "But his boredom with his creations leave something to be desired... although he did do the favor of not killing me off at the expense of leaving The Grey Mage dead and bringing The Dark One back." He continued. Zero and Hope landed on the sand next to him, spraying sand up in the air. "Wasn't too easy to find you, you know that?" Zero said, placing Hope down. "I"m going to play in the water big brother!" Hope said, running to where The Creator was without even bothering to take her clothes off. "Justice is with Bushi right now, so let's enjoy ourselves while we can. That's what you wanted to say, right Zero?" Legend asked, smirking.
Bushi stood in front of Justice, glaring at him. "What are you doing here?" He asked. "The Dark One and Mercy are killing all of my teammates. I hoped you could help as a former member of The Creator's team." Justice replied calmly. "And you came to me? I could easily defeat The Dark One, having already faced her once and knowing all of her abilities. But Mercy... I don't know." He said. "My clan is ten times more powerful since The Creator found me. It's grown in numbers immensely, thanks to The Creator's generosity." Justice looked around. "I don't sense or see anyone from your team." He said. Bushi pointed down before saying, "They're underground. We've made our own training ground now." Justice turned and began to walk out. "It seems as though you won't help me. But just be warned... The Dark One will come for you, and soon." He said, walking outside and vanishing. Darkness filled the door and Bushi was immediately on guard. "Don't take Justice's warnings lightly." She said with an evil grin.
Bushi glared at The Dark One. "I'll stop you here and now." He said, his clear eyes almost glowing. "Bushido: Way of the Warrior!" He said. Clear energy began to pulsate from his body. "Blade." He said. His two blades became combined with his energy, making them look as though they were on white fire. "Nice lights show. But what does it mean?" The Dark One asked, observing with her arms crossed. She extended her palm and closed it shut as she said, "Shatter." The shadows of everything in Bushi's house broke into hundreds of sharp pieces, flying out at him. Bushi blocked the ones near him in half with his blade. "No chance." He said, running up to her. He swung his blade with the skill of a warlord, but missed. Before she slipped into the darkness, Bushi hit her with his finger, landing a light blow. The Dark One laughed, reappearing from another shadow. She suddenly felt as though she had been slammed on the spot Bushi had hit her. She yelled out in pain, clutching her arm. "How did you...?" She asked with an incredulous look on her face. Bushi cut her off. "I guess I wasn't fighting with The Creator those thousands of years ago. I'm sure you don't know about my power. However hard I hit you I can amplify it by using my energy." He explained. He infused his blade with nearly all of his energy. He rushed at her more quickly this time. He swung his blades with everything he had. He hit her, but softer than he would've liked. The Dark One had gripped his wrist with darkness. She let the grip go and ran into the darkness before she screamed. Bushi turned his Bushido off. "It's over for now..." He said to himself, falling on his knees. He forced himself back up and went underground to tell his clan.
