Through Quixar's Eyes This is a journal of the everyday life of Quixar. What he feels, what he experiences, what happens. It is personal, and will dive into the very depths of his mind, so everyone can see just how he thinks, feels, and acts.

10:36 PM Ho hum ho hum.

Final 2 weeks of this quarter. Then I'm taking a nice Summer Break. However, I'll actually be working on more projects, because I need to get together a reel for job interviews and whatnot. Gonna try and get some of my characters created and animated -at my own pace!

During the break, I'm wanting to begin doing some friend drawings! They'll be using Gaia avi's, and we'll just be doing random things. Just one frame pics. It'll be fun ^_^ I'm thinking of a few people I know I'll be using, but it depends on how long I've known them/ if I know their personality/ if I talk to them regularly or not.

I've recently found and read a short manga which was hilarious. It's called Houkago Play, and I'd recommend it to anyone who might have some interest. Started by finding some pics of it online, got curious, saw it was a manga, read the manga, and was done with it. It's very short, with each page having 8 frames and not a lot of writing, with only 2 chapters and 68/69 pages each.
It's a romance (sortof) comedy... Kindof badly drawn lol. It only has 2 characters in it, a boy and a girl, and both are gamers. Guy has an odd shaped head and the girl has eyes that often times seem to devour her face in size. Girl right from the start shows how inlove she is with the guy, and whenever she gets pissed she kicks him or smashes her foot in his face. Ah... young love lol. It's kindof neat though since it involves a girl gamer, one that ISN'T just along for the ride - that is always a breath of fresh air in this sausage-fest gaming society. It's also nice reading from left to right in English, instead of having to read right to left with most translated mangas (not that I mind anymore, but it does help those used to reading left-right)

If you like:
Sexy lookin violent girls or boys with deformed heads or video games or have a foot fetish or like odd relationships or enjoy comedy or like reading as little as you can or have time to kill or like anime/manga or are an otaku or are a geek/nerd(even a little bit), I'd recommend reading it! Here's one of the pics that first got me interested in it:

.... Man do I love those eyes. Demonic, cat, snake-lookin eyes... *siiiigh*
In anime related news. I've recently watched Miyazaki's newest film Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea. It was ok. It reminded me of My Neighbor Totoro, so that was a plus - but Totoro was 100x better. I don't understand why Kyna is gushing all over it, but at the same time I also know she didn't think it was his best. I've even gotten her to admit there are some odd things in there that seem un-Miyazakish (such as less fine details, something he never does or the fact it sortof has underage true love). I still haven't watched another filmd she has lent me, but I should be able to watch it tomorrow. The film is called Pom Poko and is about raccoon demons/spirits/critters that can transform into a variety of shapes, including humans, to try and disguise themselves from us. I'm eager to watch it ^_^

In other, sadder news, my mother has injured herself badly recently. Last weekend, while trying to move some old pinball machines with my father, one of the machines toppled over and snapped her leg. Her knee has had to be reinforced and sortof rebuilt. She returned home last night and we've been having to take care of her. It sortof remind me of my grandmother all over again. Thankfully, the surgery went well and she is expected to make a full recovery - she should be in the cast for only a couple months, and then she'll have rehabilitation.

Well, that's it for this time. Hehe much happier than my last one, eh? biggrin I'll see everyone next time!
