I now understand the need to serve. I am apart of something greater. I kill for you. I disregard the moral values I've held all my life... for you. A man as powerful as God himself. A man who leads a whole nation in a horrific massacre, simply because we can. I set fire to the homes I spend my life around. I march down the streets past the people that supported me as I grew older. I shoot anyone who dares to defy you, for you are my God. You broke the silence that paralyzed our country. You set me free from the hatred that was always there, looming over my shoulder at every turn. Your might is my might, and my might is our might. I live and breathe to carry out your wishes.
but,
as I stand here
facing you
in your war council
speaking of the citizens like trash
clenching your fist
fired up
and truly believing
truly thinking
that what you're doing is right
I hear you say," This is Gods will!"
I wonder, just for a second, weather our war is justified
And then you give you final sentence, your voice as clear as day
and my heart skips a beat
"Yes!" A voice wispers in my head
"This, is what you were ment to do!"
I ignore my will, my rights, my sense of turth and justice
and I fight on.
All for you,
my Lord, my Savior
my reason for life.
