the helghast were once wholey human,untill their exodus to the planet of Helghan,which had a toxic atmosphere that changed them.
they became smarter,stronger,and tougher than ordinary humans and now wage war against them for being driven off the planet Earth.they attacked Vekta first after taking over the SD platforms,and now have their sights set on Earth.
although,Earth itself is ready for a counter-attack...
