How delightful, ye of gentle burdens,
Come floating round mine head,
Thy gentle touch hath sweetened,
My soft lullaby, that to thee I hath made,
A wondrous vision of white filled fury,
Of dancing in the moonlit night,
With passion and glory,
But oh, to thee, mine sweet rose,
I do raise mine pleas of mercy,
Upon this foolish soul, who hath lost its way,
So, please, ye of gentle burdens,
Delightful in thy courting,
Direct me the path, which thou hast shown.
