A million to one, the possibilities, the sum
(straight fenced yards and clean picked lawns)
A trick of the trade, a choice made
You won't find me nauseous or fighting the air
(children on the playground or ghosts in the streets)
Looking for something that might not be there
Meet me in the middle or pick up the pace
(wisdome of the dying breed is a fools wish to attain peace)
Slow and steady won't help me win this race
Love for the buyer, killers? for hire
(take what you love, forgive what you hate)
Take my insecurety and toss it in the fire
I made myself a promise in this crazy world of ours
(kind of like a secret or kind of like a plan)
Don't add insult to injury in the promised land
(Always leave it off with and...)

- Title: Kind of Like a Secret
- Artist: Ibis Devin Tamarisk
- Description: I tend to write obscure poems, I leave them a bit open so that the meaning changes depending on the person reading them. The backround to this poem is a harsh balance.
