• Phoenix, Phoenix, in my sight,
    Will you grant my wish tonight?

    The night where moon is distant and cold,
    The night, where Owl and her kin grow bold,
    This night in your fire, gold.
    Will you grant it, when my wish is told?

    I wish for happiness and merriment and joy,
    And some fond memories for all to enjoy.

    For all hatred and anger to be cast away,
    If only, for just today.

    But perhaps my wish is too great a task,
    Can you melt my icy mask?

    For I too, wish to break from my shell,
    And smile, every once in a while.
    For years all I've seen is Hell,
    For in it's fiery pits I dwell

    And now, all I ask for is joy;
    Can you give me that at least?

    Phoenix, Phoenix, in my sight,
    Will you grant my wish tonight?
