She swung back and forth, her gaze never leaving the beach.
The ferries pushed their way effortlessly through the water’s blue
depth, while the leaves were tossed around by a light breeze.
The water gently lapped the shore, the endless motion of the tide
wearing away at the sand. An eagle’s flight overhead scared the ducks
and they flew up in a panic before the watchful gaze of the girl.
Everything was calm with the departure of the birds and the girl
leaned back into the hammock she was swinging on. Her eyes scanned the beach
without really seeing it. Her mind far away just like the ducks.
The girl's imagination taking her out across the wide blue
expanse of the ocean. Her daydreams ran wild with little regard for the tide
of time. Stories unfolded before her unseeing eyes as the trees rustled with the breeze.
Leaves whipped and twirled, yanked by the breeze’s
cheerful pull. The light dimmed, the air turned cold and the girl
shivered. Night was coming fast and the tide
had advanced significantly up the beach’s
rocky surface. The water, dark blue
in the disappearing light; the dark bobbing shape of ducks
fading with the sunset. The sounds of the ducks
contentment floated over the water on the cold breeze
that suddenly blew in from the north, tugging at the blue
coat that clung the girl.
The seasons change as steady as the tide.
Life goes on, but this place was her escape from the tide
of duty and expectations. She was not as free as the ducks,
able to simply spread wings and search for a new beach.
She was chained to her existence by love and obligations. Once again the breeze
rushed through the air, and standing quickly the girl
took down the hammock rolling it up, her back to the darkening blue
sky. All around her the shadows were lengthening giving everything a blue
tint. The steady march of the tide
continued, its waves moving ever closer to the place were the girl
stood. Making their way up the shoreline, with only occasional sounds, the ducks
watched the girl waiting for her to leave. Turning around her face to cool breeze
the girl spotted them, and smiling left the beach.
The beach was a place of serenity, its rhythm the beat of the tide.
The girl could escape everything there her eyes on the blue
waves, her hair blown by the breeze, lulled by the sound of the ducks.

Description:
This is a Sestina. If you don't know what that is let me explain. A sestina is a poem that uses six repeating words, one at the end of each line for the stanza. There are 6 stanzas and one tercet. There is certain format to follow with the order of words, because it is so complicated I can't post it here but if you want it I can send it to you. You should really try writing one its harder than it looks.
