• A shared memory of a crowded day,
dances and flickers in my mind.

    We wore clothes too big,
and they hung off of us like stapled blankets.

You kept a hold of me and never let go,
    so I wouldn't get lost.

    Everyone smiled that time.

    But when lies were sung,
you let go without a single moment of doubt,
and I fell far away from you.

That led us to a warfield that was painted with blood.
the Ace of Hearts had swung her blade,
    and our big brother disappeared,
    trying to protect me.

That led us sitting side by side,
    sighing and watching,
    as time restarted,
and smiles played on our lips again.

    Our clothes fit perfectly now.
