A gaze through mist that's seeking nothing,
    Never showing, never finding love.
    The light we all find,
Is shining from the back of our minds.

A blue web of night this time has taken,
All the light; the ground forsaken.
Answer, why it has to be this way.
Tonight the ground is lonely, wouldn't you say?

These clouds are above us in the wide open night sky.
Trying as they might to find these fragments, these rays of light.
The light still finds a way to slip on down,
So amazing, while its dancing on the purple ground.

Becoming less, and becoming too much,
Phenomena, only with our minds, can touch.
The cycle is breaking, the clouds will keep taking,
Now wouldnt it be nice if we could all just see?

These clouds are above us in the wide open night sky.
Trying as they might to find these fragments, these rays of light.
The light still finds a way to slip on down,
So amazing, while its dancing on the purple ground.

Unbiased eyes have never come so close to finding truth,
The night may offer ancient wisdom, cloaked in youth.
Light can show a winding path to sorrow and dismay.
Tonight the ground is lonely, tell me, why must it be this way?
