Winds shaking houses,
skies turning grey,
trees falling over,
will anyone have to pay?
I get out of bed,
and what do i see?,
my tree's going to fall,
its bent like a leaf.
When the storm finally passes,
what we all thought,
it was just a big wind,
a horribly incorrect thought.
We went outside,
only to see,
atleast 20 trees,
were broke as could be.
60 foot pine trees,
all on the ground,
we checked on people,
from all around town.
Houses were gone,
and families were shocked,
no animals sounded,
not a goose in a flock.
My neighbor's tree,
was half taken out,
and only a few families,
needed to pout.
I'll never forget,
that grey, aweful night,
and in the end,
that really big fright.
If you drive,
around town today,
you can still see some spots,
where Williamston was blown away.

Description:
last year, on october 18th, my tiny little town was hit by a tornado. one of my classmates' house got destroyed and some of the biggest trees i have ever seen got uprooted. One family had just moved to a new home and it was by a pond... the tornado ripped the house out of the ground and into a pond where the couple died. i looked out the window and this is my experience from that night.
