• Darkness around
    Starts to unfold
    Shadows start dancing,
    Their stories untold
    They all look at me
    With a blank stare
    Because of my story,
    They start crying
    Indivisible tears.
    They’ve been turned
    Into shadows, turned into fears
    I realize I never
    Really appreciated light
    Until I ended up here,
To see such an awful sight
    I just stand there
    Wondering why I am here
    Trying to understand
    Trying to make things clear
Am I here for a reason?
    Like they also are?
    I look into the black
It goes on, seems so far
    I soon get frightened
And then they start to run
    Then I start to shake
    I’m coming undone
    I suddenly fall
    And I screamed
    Is it reality?
    Or is it a dream?
    I was swallowed by darkness,
    Slowly being devoured
    Got up and ran more
    I’m such a coward
    The shadows come after
As if it were a race
    Soon catching up
    I’ve lost my pace.
    They try to grab me.
    I, again, run fast
    Fast, too, they catch me
    My place is last
    I cry for someone.
    “Help!” I plead
    That someone would come
    The someone I need
    Am I trapped forever?
    In this dark land?
    Or will anyone come
    And offer me a hand?
    I was alone and depressed
    And taken away
    Won’t someone come?
That’s all I have to say
But in the darkness I stay.
Though, when someone offers me freedom,
And helps me back to the light
    They will forget me always.
I’m back into the dark, out of sight.
Don’t leave one, don’t ever forget.
In the darkness they’ll end up
    And you in regret
