My Disease
My eyes are sunken in my face,
My breath lengthens in pace.
My hands too numb to grasp
That at which I cannot clasp.
My skin is as pale as paper.
My life begins to taper.
My blood is as black as ink.
My heart begins to sink.
And all I loved is gone,
It ran like a trepid fawn.
Now I have nothing to give me ease.
Now I have nothing but my disease.
