-
The way your eyes twinkled
That whole, long walk
I thought it mattered
That I felt we could talk.
But no, of course,
It makes no difference
That I’ve shown I love you
In more than one instance.
I hope that you remember
All the times we’ve had.
We laughed and cried together,
Often we held the other's hand.
But, no, I won’t distract you
From your pure, new life.
I won’t be the jealous one,
I won’t show off my strife.
You make it so obvious,
I should’ve known
That you were made for someone,
And I for being alone.

- Title: New Life
- Artist: PurplePwr012
- Description: This is a poem that is about those people that you have loved your whole life, but they just keep finding person after person after person that can replace you in their heart. . . no matter how good of friends you are, you can never be enough for that person. And THAT is what hurts the most.
