• Laying in the moonlit patch
    Of lilies,roses,shamrocks,and grass
    Hiding 'mongst the forest shadows
With nothing more than my wings
Quiet glow to give me away

I watch you wander into my woods
    Looking lost and distressed

They say your kind is naught to trust,
But your look seems so kind.

    A strange feeling overwhelms me
    One I've never felt before
Could it be possible that I could feel
    For one of your like?

    *sigh*

Do I betray my own for one such as you?
Do I let my secret world be discovered
    for your face so kind?

You start to fall to the ground
    And land amongst the lillies
    I within the rose
    So near your beautiful face

    How could one so weak
Bring the troubles of which the elders speak?

    My heart overwhelms me
    I cannot let you die
Not when the power lies within me
    that could save your life

    I let myself take form
In a size you'll plainly see
I grow to one your size
And place a kiss upon your cheek.

"An angel?" I hear you faintly ask.

I laugh and fade with the wind
For I know I've kept my world a secret
And spared your life as well

    I rejoin the flowers
And sing of my simple tales.
