• Rebellion
    I’ve watched this world change
A colorful puzzle to a metal block
    Watched men die
Seen the fires of the state rain down on the plate that sates societies thirst for knowledge, thirst for justice
    Too long have we watched
    From our tv sets
    Our books
    Our papers
    Our eyes
    Our minds
Actions speak louder than words and so does rebellion versus inaction and yet our words incite us to action
    Corporations puppeting our frustrations
American consumerism is the name of the game, no one cares
    Rise up from those depths
Those black pits draining the breaths from your brain
    Our Masks shattered
We the people, we fall scattered
Break our social bonds, and to stretch our warrior fronds
    Are we all not people?

Your brother, your sister, your mother, your father, your friend, your foe
    The nameless kid in class
    Are we all not soldiers?
    Fighting through our writing
    Our minds are guns
And our thoughts are the bullets
The price of human life is just an average of the means
Held true to that, we’re thought as cogs in the machine
    This façade
    All naught but a charade
So Rise up! Rise up! Even in the eyes of your peers
Before a capitalist police state, society nears.
