I left the black depths— into the sun—
From the cave—that I call home—
Into the bright sky—spreading my wings—
For this is how I roam.
I passed over the mountains—
That is my domain—
While they wear their white winter capes—
Waiting in vain.
I passed over the thriving forest—
The trees standing tall—
Their canopy hiding— activity below me—
Hiding from my call.
I passed over- bright green plains—
Which is the land of man—
Where danger lays— but I must hunt—
In this once familiar domain.
Once this wide— open space was all my land—
Were men now call home—
But I still must hunt in this dangerous place—
Where may await my doom.
