The dark night sky
Fills up my once empty canvas.
The shady tones of the foreground
Weave in and out of each other;
Hiding the dimmed light that
Tries to scratch its way through.
This canvas depicts the lonesome
Avenues and street corners
That are frequented by so few;
A few commoners with nothing better to do,
Or the strangers who wander in by mistake.
A certain night breed brings the
Loneliness to life. They fill up the streets
And they act upon their own accord.
They are friends to only themselves, and
Act as enemies to so few.
Trust is not an option; deceit, a daily practice.
This canvas is titled ‘myself’.
