Your words, like droplets of ice in the blistered sun
Your voice, like the mellow grass being pummeled by waves of wind
Your eyes
Your lips, like ghostly graveyards of a vain, dark soft
Your breath, like the rattling of deserted wind chimes in a ravenous storm
Your fingers, like the crumbling walls of ice, falling into the sea, losing all grip
Your eyes
They cover for darkness
Thinking nothing could be colder
Than the blood that's in your veins
When it froze
And all went into mistakes
Like time slowly ticking
As the water froze in the lakes
Your eyes
Like death
