• I walk outside
    Down my driveway
    Walking under the lights
    Every direction ends in blackness
    Far off in the distance

    I turn the street corner
    A street light flickers
    And I see black silhouettes
Walking up and down the streets

    I Aproach the first house
    On the block
    A dim light flickers
    Above my head
    The glow of the doorbell
Is my only way too see

I go to press the doorbell
    And object bumps me
    It is a monster
They have come to get me

    This can not be
    I am so young
And I do not want to die
    A feeling overwhelms me
    And I begin to cry

Just then an object scoops me up
    Holds me dear
    It is my dad
    And in his arms
    No monster could get me

    His arm extends
    As he rings the doorbell
A black figure opens the door
    My dad mutters three words

    "Trick or Treat"
