I walk through the ruins to see the past
It shows me nothing ever last
On the meadows I see the long shadows cast
The columns stand to show me their ancient strength
And I behold the thing in length
Yet I can still feel their history float like some wraith
A statue lies in the center of the Ruin there
A thing once made with craftsmen care
Now it sits in the lonely place as if to defy the moss like a dare
Oh how I marvel at their sight
And yet I cry to see them gone from their very makers light
The sun sets down again on this ancient site……….this Ruin
