Speak Up

• Description: When I wrote this poem I was writing it as someone else talking to me. At the time I realized how shy and scared to talk I was and this is what I felt, so it made me think, How would someone react knowing what I know, What would they tell me. Would they like me or laugh? This is what I came up with. Enjoy.

Speak Up
I cannot hear your thoughts
The mouth you open
Makes no noise
Speak louder
I can read the pain
In your eyes
But how can I help
If you do not
Speak to me
Tell me why you are lonely
Why you are hurt
Just talk
How can we like you
How will you make friends
I see you gasping
You want to talk
You think you know
That we dont like you
How can you be sure
When first to know
You must
Speak
