Tired eyelids leak a tear,
Succumbing to your sweet embrace,
Suffocation never felt this warm,
Drifting, drifting.
It's warmer than this rainy July,
Watching Weather Gods through the window,
As they can't make up their minds,
Drowsy clouds float gently by,
Close your eyes,
Close your eyes.
And this lullabye I sing,
Concerns the art of counting sheep,
Thinking of people I have yet to meet,
You look so vulnerable when you are asleep,
Dreams crawl closer and taste so sweet.
A storm is raging,
And I can't tame him.
I can't tame him.

Description:
This is really about trying to sleep when you're exhausted but your mind won't stop thinking.
It does have other meanings too; see if you can spot them?
Before people comment on it, the rhyming is not meant to be in a pattern, instead scattered like thoughts.

I love it; it's very...lulling (if that makes sense!)
I can feel a very strong sexual element to it, but it's very subtly and masterfully woven in.
Also, I find in it meanings concerning music, love in general, drugs (kind of) ; I could go on forever, basically.
That's what makes your poems amazing: there are always a thousand and one different meanings to it no matter what biggrin - Report As Spam
