The amaranth that we search for
Is the flower of Love
That lies in the core
Of our being's Dove.
What can we hold
If not such a thing?
Our hearts become cold
What forth shall it bring?
If we are not blind
And finally seek
Much Love shall we find
At its highest peak.
For the amaranth blooms
When our hearts love consumes

Description:
This is a grade 11 English project that I had completed two years ago. So far it's my favorite piece I have written. For those who don't know, it's written in the form on an English (Shakespearean) Sonnet.
For you younger ones, this poem has a lot of symbolism, and metaphor, and even some personification!
