The tears they fall, they hit the floor
And still you choose to go through the door
Was it life you wanted all this time?
Because I was so willing to give you mine
If they asked then you persued
The justice you knew they were due
Always fighting hard, living strong
So why now does this feel so wrong?
It's been a while since I saw your face
It's been so long since I've loved this place
It used to be our own, you know
Never did I not have somewhere to go
Because it was always ours
All throughout our darkest hours
But now... now where am I to turn?
I am left with nothing to do but mourn
I am without the one I love
Somewhere out there in the stars above
Will you come back to me?
Will you set my broken soul free?
The tears they fall, they hit the floor
Why did you go out that door?

- Title: The Tears They Fall
- Artist: Sins of the Dying
- Description: Written in memory of three good friends I lost 3 years ago in October. Most of us have lost friends in some point in our lives to death. Mine were such good people taken too early. One was to a shooting. One was killed by a drunk driver. And the third was murdered while walking home from a Holloween party... All within a few weeks of each other... I was thinking of them this morning and came up with this. R.I.P Luke, Nikka and Theresa.
