It’s been almost a year, up to the very day
And it’s funny, but I don’t really know what to say
So many laughs you’ve brought me, so many tears
These memories are sure to last me through my years
And I look back from time to time
Wondering if I’d have changed my mind
If I would take it all back, just to say
That I’m glad things didn’t turn out this way
Your caring heart, impassioned eyes
Calloused hands, always reaching for the sky
A head that’s often lost in the clouds
And the truth you’ve always kept in a shroud
So much love to give, so many hearts to woo
I was one of many that you knew
And even though your heart had bled
It was mine that broke, instead
It took so long for the clouds to part
To finally see this brand new start
For love had opened its arms, once again, to me
So warm and caring, and as vast as the sea
I’ve learned to love, and I’ve learned its pain
I’ve finally learned how to dance in the rain
And I’ve found the earth, which carries my dreams
I’ve found the sky, much vaster than it seems
I wish not of spite, I harbor no hate
My only desire is for your blissful fate
A life where you achieve all you had wished
A life with your love, those lips you have kissed
It’s only now I can finally see
These changes had come to bring a new me
And can finally accept what you will be
Is simply this: One fond memory.

- I love this one so much. It reminds me a lot about my past...Very well written and it's full of emotion. Well done.
